Okay, so it's a snow day today. This has it's plus side and it's negative side.
Plus:
1. We don't have to dress everyone up, put them in the car, drive in the snow and get them inside the church building.
2. Stuff that we were supposed to get done, but didn't because we were sick this week, can be put off for another day.
3. I can go into work earlier then planned today.
4. Naps will be taken at the right time.
Negative:
1. We are stuck inside another day, which makes number 5, due to illness and snow days this week.
2. We are all stuck inside, are grumpy and getting on each others nerves.
3. We are all stuck inside and making my house a mess.
4. We are all stuck inside. Do you get the point?
We love all you guys. Hope you have a great Sunday and may the Spirit be with you.
(Gotta love watching all the starwars movies because we aren't doing anything better on our day off with our time.)

Gracie's Second hair cut, 1st at a salon.
As you all know, Gracie has unruly curls on the top of her head. So as a desperate attempt to give them some style, I took her to the hair dresser with me to get it done. She loooooved it! She is such a girly girl and this was a highlight of her little life. I brought the church bag, so she would have things to do, but she just sat in a chair and watched Mommy get her hair highlighted at first. Then when it was her turn, she sat perfectly still and did everything that was asked of her. Then when mommy was getting her hair cut she watched that too. When all was done, she couldn't stop talking about it on the way home. Which is really funny, because she only whispered yes or no when they talked to her at the salon. Here are some pictures. (Sorry, they are kind of fuzzy. I'm still getting used to using my camera phone and if you move one inch it is always fuzzy).

Deana's Playhouse
As you can imagine, winter at my house can be a little claustrophobic. Well, to alleviate the feeling of being stuck inside and to keep my kids from driving me to distraction, I started looking into activities and places we can go in the Winter. We got a pass to the Children's Museum in Grand Rapids, but that's only good on weekends when Ryan can go with me. Well, wouldn't you know after searching the internet we found a play area called Deana's Playhouse for ages 1-5. Best part of this is it is only .5 miles from my home and my kids are the perfect age. It's a playhouse in one large gymnasium size room, so I can take them myself. The hardest part is getting them to leave when it is time to go. The workers provide snacks and often time since we are usually the last to leave, they shower my kids with books and coloring books to take home. They are just so shocked that I have so many the same age. Of course we bought an annual pass and we have already been there 5 times in the last two weeks. It's great.

Kate Gosselin Book Signing in Grand Rapids this Weekend
Kate Gosselin was in Grand Rapids recording the audio cd for her book. So, she also had 4 book signings. Three in GR and one in Lansing. I decided to go to Barnes and Noble and get a copy signed. Here are some pictures of her. She talked to Jaxen (who happened to be with me), said Hi, and we moved on. They were pretty efficient at getting us in and out and we only had to wait 30 minutes in line. On Wed., the newspaper said the wait was much longer, but they were letting people talk with her and she was personalizing each copy. It was interesting to see her in person. She was friendly to everyone and even extended the hours of the signing to get as many books signed as possible. One worker said that in 4 days of signing books, she signed over 1700 copies each night. I don't know if this is accurate, but she should be impressed with how well her book is doing.

Morgan's PreSchool Christmas Concert
I forgot the Camera (as usual), but Nikki Shipley, who has a daughter in the same class and happily helps get Morgan back and forth, came through for me. If you want to see Morgan perform, just click on her name to the right of my blog under friends and family blogs. The Elissa and Morgan are so cute, they just make you smile.

Rachel and her Coat
Rachel loves her coat. When I say love, I mean it is like her comfort blanket. She wears it around the house and outside, over her clothes and her pajamas, and when she isn't wearing it she is carrying it around. Here are some pictures of her with her coat. Putting it down has to be her idea.

Merry Christmas Everyone!
Last Saturday, we decorated our house for Christmas. This year we actually put decorations on the tree and no fence around it. The kids did the job, so all of the ornaments are in one specific area. Also, since then they have been taken off and put back on about a hundred times, but they aren't breakable and the kids are having fun. So, I say enjoy.
