Ryan and Joshua Fernquist's Mission President
Ryan had to travel for business near the end of June. On his way home, he changed flights so that he could get home a little sooner. When he got to the airport, he found out that his flight was canceled and he couldn't switch back to his original flight. They were able to get him on another flight through Atlanta. While waiting during his layover he came upon a group of people who looked like mission presidents and wives/families. He walked over and sure enough they were mission presidents from missions in Brazil. Now Ryan's nephew is going to Brazil on his mission (don't remember the name at the moment), so he asked if the mission president was there. He was not with the group but was in the international store, so Ryan walked over and with the help of a translator was able to talk to Josh's mission president. He thought it was one of those great spiritual moments that have an impact on your life. He felt the spirit and wanted to share it with his sister. The mission president wanted him to tell her that Josh will be loved as if he were is own son. What comfort and what a great man. No wonder he is a mission president.

Teenage Ninja Turtle meets Captain America with floats
Jaxen and Joshua also like to dress up on occasion. They wanted me to take a picture and show everyone how they dressed up this summer. Here they are posing for the camera.

Michigan Beaches
One day this summer, Ryan decided to go for a drive and find a beach we haven't been to. I'm not sure the name of this beach, but the kiddos were excited to explore and run up and down the stairs to get there. Here are some pictures of their adventures with their dad.
Here is the family minus mom. Aren't they a handsome bunch?

Summer Reading Fair
Our public library had a Summer Reading Fair to kick of their Summer Reading Program. We decided to go since the local petting zoo, Critter Barn, was going to have animals there. Here are some pictures of the kids petting the baby chicks. I thought I had more pictures taken with animals, but I can't seem to find them. Sorry.

Summer Activities
This June, we have spent a lot of time at the swimming pool. It is the outdoor pool at MVP Athletic Club where I have also been taking classes. I go work out for an hour in the morning or afternoon and they go play in the Kiddie Gym while they wait. Then we all get our suits on and go for a swim for a few hours there after. We pack a snack, some books to read and water to drink and we are all set. The kids love it and I love that I can see where they are and have life guards to help keep an eye on them just in case. Here are a few pictures of Rachel and Gracie in the pool.
When the iPad first came out, Ryan bought one for he and I to share. The kiddos have since learned how to use it and we have downloaded some kid friendly games and books. I must say it is nice to have at doctor appointments and places where they need to be quiet (if they are not fighting over it). They can watch movies, play games and/or listen to picture books. Here are a few pictures of the triplets while they are listening to a picture book together.

Our Cute Gracie and Her Lost Tooth
We love our little Gracie. She loves to dress up to go run errands. You can also see that Rachel is dressed up as well behind her. There are many times that we have done to the store, library, doctor or dentist appointments and to the park and they get dressed up for the even.
In June, Gracie was the first to lose her top teeth. She was so excited to get money from the tooth fairy. Joshua was so disappointed his teeth weren't lose enough to come out that he had his dad try and pull them out, but they just weren't ready. She now has a very cute smile and loves to show people that her top teeth are gone.

This year was Jaxen, Joshua and Gracie's Kindergarten Graduation. They were sooo excited to have mom and dad come to see their classroom and see the songs and activities that were prepared for their special day. Here are some pictures of the big event.
