A Museum Just For Kids

This weekend is Stake Conference, and sorry, but we are not going. It is just tooo much with five kids for two hours. So, because we won't be going out tomorrow we decided to go out and have fun today. Because it was raining, we decided to go to the Grand Rapids Children's Museum. The kids had a blast. Even Rachel had a little area where she could crawl around and enjoy herself. The camera soon died, so the only pictures we have are the following three.

Gracie, Morgan and Joshua

Church Halloween Party

Our church had it's Halloween party this weekend with trick or treating, dancing, desserts and games. The kids were so cute going from room to room asking for candy. None of them wanted help with their bags or to hold hands. Even Joshua walked around all by himself and held his bag up for everyone to dump a treat in. They also had fun eating the candy and desserts. All of them loved the cupcakes with whip cream frosting. Here they are in their costumes.

Rachel the Butterfly

Joshua the Horse (He was very upset that he had to take off the costume at bedtime. He would have slept in it and worn it all day if he could. He loved it because it makes a horsy sound when you push down on the nose. If asked, he would push the nose himself and giggle.)

Morgan the Unicorn.

Gracie the Pink Poodle

Jaxen the Penguin (He did not like his costume. He screamed to get it off and absolutely refused to wear the hood. I was very lucky to get this picture.)

Doing Chores at 2 years old

The other day, the boys helped Ryan mow the lawn, while the girls played on the swings and playhouse. They were so proud of themselves and had a great time. I had to get pictures and video, because in 5 or 10 years they may not be so willing to help out with yard work.

Chocolate Pudding

About once or twice a week the kids get pudding for dessert if they have eaten enough of their dinner. Here are pictures of them after having such a treat. I'm not sure, but I think Jaxen didn't eat his dinner this night, so he didn't get any.

Waiting to go for a Walk

Ryan was taking the kids for a walk and they decided to sit on the bottom step and wait patiently for him to get the stroller out. It was so cute, Ryan tried to get pictures of them being quiet and good.

Pumpkin Carving

This weekend we carved the pumpkins that we picked out for family home evening. It was fun to watch the kids be grossed out when we started to take the seeds and pulp out. Joshua wanted to put his back in after Ryan had cleaned it all out. They were all happy with their pumpkins when we were done. Morgan drew the face on her pumpkin and I cut it out for her. She had more fun drawing on it than she did carving it.

The kids waiting for daddy to bring in their pumpkins.

We were trying to get them to take out the innards, but they would have nothing to do with it.

Jaxen (He fell off his chair and hit his head and was not happy to have his picture taken when all he wanted was to cudle with daddy.)

Joshua

Gracie

All the pumpkins together. As you can see we did not carve Rachels. Trying to get four pumpkins carved and gutted was enough. I made the comment to Ryan that these are the times when you need Grandparents nearby who can help carve the pumpkins to make it go by faster. We love you Grandma Jean Ann, Grandpa Chris, Grandma MacPherson, and Grandpa MacPherson. We miss you all!!!!!!!!

Computer Problems continue

I'm sorry to say, but my postings might be limited for a little while. Our computer at home continues to have issues with letting me log on and post pictures. Not sure what it's problem is, but until we figure it out, I have to use Ryan's work computer when he brings it home. So, hopefully I can get back to posting once a week, but it might be a little longer. For now, there are three new posts after this that are of the kids doing some fun and cute things.
